Fox Valley Metal-Tech., Inc. Celebrates 20 Years
Fox Valley Metal-Tech, Inc. was founded in 1989, marking 2009 as the manufacturing company’s 20th year of business. The company was created by three metal fabricators seeking to employ the emerging computer-based technology in the sheet metal fabrication industry. The company has humble beginnings. It began in a leased space of 10,000 square feet. In 1994 Fox Valley Metal-Tech, Inc. purchased land in Ashwaubenon and erected a new facility with 18,000 square feet. Growth of the business continued requiring several additions to meet customer satisfaction requirements. In 1996 the shop was increased by 11,250 SF. In 1996 the office space was increased by 3,500 SF. A second shop expansion was completed in 1998 adding an additional 11,250 SF. Two larger additions were made to the manufacturing area in 2004 and 2008 of 24,000 square feet and 35,500 square feet respectively.
Since then, Fox Valley Metal-Tech., Inc. has continued to prosper and make continuous additions in order to keep a competitive edge. The year 2006 may contain FVMT’s most valuable editions: the River System (sheet metal automation system), two 4000 watt Lasers, and a second 10 ton Bridge Crane. These editions, particularly the lasers, brought much attention to Fox Valley Metal-Tech., Inc. and gave them prominent opportunities such as a visit from President Bush and a nomination for Wisconsin’s Manufacturer of the Year in 2007 and 2008.
Today, Fox Valley Metal-Tech., Inc. occupies 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space and state of the art machinery that is capable of the highest precision metal fabrication. They continue to seek new ways to manufacture better parts and products more efficiently.
